Beautification

This wonderful committee teaches our children how to improve the environment that surrounds them. It entails cleaning and planting and involves the whole community.

The event is highlighted by a campus beautification project, courtesy of the Indian Trace Elementary PTA. Teachers, students, parents and administrators will be assisting in the initiative.
Volunteers will focus on key areas of the school grounds, including
- the carpool area
- the main entrance
- the butterfly garden at the entrance to the media center.
- Each classroom will also decorate in their garden.

One of the main ideas behind this event is to provide a hands-on lesson for students as they learn about plants and the environment through an activity that involves teamwork.

We would like to thank Home Depot and Flamingo Road Nursery for donating the plant material, mulch, supplies and equipment needed to beautify Indian Trace Elementary.
