Reflections® National PTA Contest 2026-2027

Indian Trace Elementary PTA is delighted to bring the Reflections® Art Contest to our school.

For over 50 years, the National PTA Reflections® program has provided opportunities for recognition and access to the arts, which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, over 300,000 students across the nation in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme.

Let’s put Indian Trace Elementary on the National PTA Reflections® map once again!

1. The theme of the 2026-2027 contest is, “What My CULTURE Means to Me.”

2. Submission Deadline: OCTOBER 16, 2026.

3. CATEGORIES & OFFICIAL RULES | To review categories and official rules, visit https://www.pta.org/home/programs/reflections/craft-an-entry

   You may submit artwork for more than one category. Before your student starts working, please refer to the official Florida PTA guidelines per category (entries that don’t comply with the guidelines will be disqualified!):

   Dance Choreography | Spanish

   Film Production | Spanish

   Literature | Spanish

   Music Composition | Spanish

   Photography | Spanish

   Visual Arts | Spanish

   Accessible Arts | Spanish

4. CREATE YOUR ORIGINAL ARTWORK

   • Draw, paint, make a collage, write something, take a photo, compose a song, choreograph a dance, or produce a video!

   • You may participate in one or more categories but remember: only one artwork per category.

   • Each original work must include:

     • Completed digital Reflections entry form (typed only, please) and Google form.

     • Artwork Title

     • Artist Statement: The artist statement explains what inspired the work and how it relates to the theme. Without a title and statement, your artwork cannot be entered into the competition.

     • These forms and links will be sent via class chats and can be found on our PTA website (below).

   5. SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY BY OCTOBER 16, 2026
   To submit your entry, prepare the digital documentation of your student’s artwork and collect the Title and Artist Statement. Please remember: the student’s name and/or other identifying information should not be visible on or within the artwork that will be judged.

   6. WAIT FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENTS
   • Each artwork will be judged by professionals.
   • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category will advance to the county competition.

Please read the rules carefully! Reach out with any questions or concerns. We want to make sure that every child who wants to participate can do so!

Indian Trace Elementary always has many winners who advance to the district, state and national level. We encourage all to enter and show their amazing skills and talents!
